Esports in the shopping window

Esports is rapidly moving from bedroom hobby to mainstream culture, with a global audience of over half a billion fans. For cities, it opens up new ways to engage with a new generation and connect education, culture and the local economy.

In this next ESWAM webinar: “Game On, City Hall” we explore how municipalities embrace esports with smart policy and practical facilitation: from recognising esports in local sport and youth strategies to enabling venues, events and inviting community spaces. With voices from Katowice, the architect behind leading esports facilities in Hamburg and Utrecht and Copenhagen City Council, this webinar offers city representatives concrete insights on how to integrate the esports potential into the city.
